- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. currants
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 c. bulgur (cracked wheat)
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Directions

1Combine water, currants, honey, salt, black pepper, cinnamon and cumin in a medium-size saucepan.

2Bring to simmering.

3Stir in bulgur and green onions.

4Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 10 minutes or until the bulgur is tender.

5(Can be made up to a day ahead and refrigerated.)
