Ingredients
- 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 teaspoons curry powder
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
- 1/2 cup water
- salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup dried currant
Directions

1Combine chick peas, olive oil, crushed garlic, curry powder, lemon juice and water in a food processor or blender.

2Puree until smooth.

3Add salt to taste.

4Transfer to a bowl and gently stir in currants by hand.

5Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 4 hour for flavours to blend.
