  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. sugar (I like brown)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. sorghum molasses
  • 1 1/4 c. whole canned milk or half and half

Directions

    Mix sugar, flour and spices.

    Stir into eggs.

    Add cushaw, molasses and milk.

    Stir well to blend.

    Pour into unbaked 9-inch crust.

    Bake at 425° for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350°.

    Bake 30 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown.
