  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. scalded milk, cooled slightly
  • 1 qt. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

    Beat eggs slightly.

    Add milk gradually.

    Add vanilla. Measure bread cubes and put into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Pour egg-milk over bread cubes.

    Sprinkle cinnamon over top.

    Bake in slow oven (350°) for 50 or 55 minutes.
