- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter (at room temperature)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (10-inch) pie shell
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, butter and salt.

3Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the eggs and mix until well blended.

4Add milk and vanilla; beat until smooth.

5Pour the mixture into the pie shell and bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake until the pie begins to set around the edges and the middle is still jiggly.

6Let cool, then chill slightly.
