  • 3 eggs or 6 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. milk, scalded

Directions

    Beat eggs slightly and combine with sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.

    Slowly add milk; mix well and pour into 9-inch pastry-lined pie shell.

    Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes, then in moderate oven at 325° for 25 minutes.
