  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. nutmeg
  • pastry pie shell

    Preheat oven to 450°. Line 9-inch pan with pastry. Brush the inside with egg whites. Chill. Beat eggs slightly with fork; add the sugar and salt. Stir until blended. Add milk and cream; blend well. Gently pour into pie crust. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300° and continue to bake for 50 minutes.
