Ingredients

  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Cinnamon to taste (optional)

Directions

    Scald lowfat milk with sugar and salt added.

    Pour over beaten Large eggs.

    Add in vanilla and pour custard into baking dish or possibly individual molds.

    Place molds in pan of warm water in moderately slow oven till set.

    To test, insert knife or possibly spoon.

    If custard does not adhere to it, it is ready to remove from oven.

    Refrigerateand serve with caramel sauce.

    Bake in oven 1/2 hour.
