- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- dash of salt
- 2 well-beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. cream
- 1 pt. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butter
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour and salt well in pan to be used in double boiler.

2Add eggs and cream. Place pan over boiling water and immediately add 1 pint of boiling water slowly to mixture.

3Stir constantly until thickened and smooth.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.

5Pour sauce over rolls when serving.
