- 4 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
Directions

1Boil syrup and sugar together for 2 to 3 minutes.

2Beat eggs and pour slowly into syrup.

3Add butter, salt and vanilla, stirring to blend.

4Add pecan pieces.

5Pour into raw pie shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes (until set).
