  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces

Directions

    Boil syrup and sugar together for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Beat eggs and pour slowly into syrup.

    Add butter, salt and vanilla, stirring to blend.

    Add pecan pieces.

    Pour into raw pie shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes (until set).
