- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 6 egg whites
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg yolks and add cold water and 1/2 cup sugar.

2Beat until thick and lemon colored.

3Fold in flour (1/2 cup) and baking powder.

4Add lemon flavoring.

5Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

6Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until stiff.

7Add 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour and vanilla.

8Pour over ingredients in tube pan.

9Bake 1 hour at 350°.
