- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream shortening, sugar and egg.

2Sift dry ingredients together.

3Put nuts in flour and add to first mixture.

4Add vanilla.

5Drop on cookie sheet with small spoon and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in water (so cookie doesn't stick to glass).

6Bake at 350° for 12 minutes.

7Eat and enjoy.
