  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream shortening, sugar and egg.

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    Put nuts in flour and add to first mixture.

    Add vanilla.

    Drop on cookie sheet with small spoon and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in water (so cookie doesn't stick to glass).

    Bake at 350° for 12 minutes.

    Eat and enjoy.
