- big, almost ripe cucumbers
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 1 qt. water
- 3 c. sugar
- pickling onions
- 12 rounds black pepper
- 4 Tbsp. each red and green pepper flakes (dehydrated)
Directions

1Peel cucumbers. Cut in half and remove seeds. Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.

2Rinse in cold water and dry with paper towel or drain.

3Boil cucumbers in vinegar mixture to a rolling boil.

4Put in jars and seal.
