- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 1 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. almond flavor
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Mix the first 3 ingredients like pie crust (pea size chunks). Divide dough in half.

2Pat dough with hands to form 2 long (12 x 3-inch) strips on cookie sheet 3-inches apart.

3Mix butter and water in saucepan; bring to rolling boil.

4Add flavoring; remove from heat.

5Add at once the flour and salt.

6Stir quickly to form dough.

7When smooth, add eggs, stirring constantly.

8Beat until smooth and velvety.

9Spread half of mixture over each.
-
10Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

11Makes 2 (12-inch) loaves.

12Cool.
