- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring (optional)
Directions

1Mix butter and water and bring to a boil.

2Remove from heat and add flavoring.

3Stir in flour immediately to prevent lumping. When smooth and thick, add eggs, one at a time.

4Beat until smooth.

5Divide in half and spread evenly over each piece of pastry.

6Bake about 50 to 60 minutes, until topping is crisp and brown, at 350°.

7Frost when cool.
