Dark-Chocolate Walnut Drops

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. double-acting baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1About 2 hours before serving or up to 2 weeks ahead, mix ingredients together.

2Preheat oven to 350°.

3Grease cookie sheet. Into large bowl, measure all ingredients except walnuts.

4With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until blended.

5Increase speed to high; beat 1 minute, occasionally scraping bowl with spatula.

6With rubber spatula, stir in walnuts.

7Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls, 1 inch apart, onto cookie sheets.

8Bake 15 minutes.

9With pancake turner, remove cookies to wire racks; cool. Store cookies in tightly covered container to use up within 2 weeks.

10Makes 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
