Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. rolled oats (quick)
- 1/2 c. All-Bran
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Mix shortening, oats, All-Bran, salt, molasses and sugar together and pour the boiling water over this mixture.

2Cool until lukewarm, then sprinkle yeast on it and allow to set until tiny beads appear.

3Add 3 1/2 cups flour and mix well.

4Put 1/2 cup flour on board and knead until smooth.

5Let rise until double in bulk and punch down and put in pans.

6Let rise about 1 hour.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
