- 1 pkg. dates (seedless)
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 large bag shredded coconut
Directions

1In a large saucepan, add margarine, sugar, egg and cut up dates.

2Cook for 9 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.

3It will thicken.

4Remove from heat; add Rice Krispies and nuts.

5When cool enough to handle and well mixed, make into small balls, rolling in your hands.

6Roll balls into the coconut, which has been heaped on top of waxed paper.

7Refrigerate to harden.

8Also can store some in freezer as this recipe makes a lot.
