- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1/4 c. flaked coconut
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together the flour and baking powder.

2Add salt and sugar and stir well.

3Add dates; mix with fingers to separate dates.

4Stir in nuts and coconut.

5In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs enough to blend yolks and whites. Add to flour mixture with butter and vanilla; stir to mix thoroughly.

6Turn into a buttered square cake pan (9 x 9-inch) and bake in a 325° oven for 45 minutes.
