- 1 12 cups chopped dates, to which 1 cup of boiling water has been poured over
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 13 cups flour
- 34 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 egg
- 14 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350.

2Cream the sugar and oil.

3Add in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

4Add the dates with water, egg, and almond milk.

5Mix well.

6Stir in the pecans.

7Grease a loaf pan (9x5x3 inches).

8Pour the batter into the loaf pan.

9Bake for 45-50 minutes.

10Remove the date cake from the pan, and let it cool on a cooling rack.
