- pinch of salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. whiskey
- 2 lb. dates
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 lb. nuts
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Cream yolks and sugar well.

3Sift flour, salt and baking powder.

4Add 1/2 of the flour mixture to egg and sugar mix.

5Use rest to dredge dates and nuts.

6Add to mixture.

7Mix well.

8Add beaten egg whites.

9Mix well.
-
10Pour into greased loaf pan.

11Bake at 300° until toothpick comes out clean; let cool.
