- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. dark brown sugar
- 1 lb. dates, chopped
- 1 can coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- 4 c. Rice Krispies
Directions

1Melt margarine.

2Add sugar and chopped dates; cook 6 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons water to make light balls.

3Stir in coconut.

4Take off stove.

5Add vanilla and the chopped nuts.

6Cool a little and add Rice Krispies.

7Form into small balls and roll in powdered sugar.

8Makes 12 dozen balls.
