- 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. snipped dates
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1/4 c. light molasses
Directions

1Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Stir in rolled oats, walnuts and dates.

2Combine the beaten egg, sugar, sour cream and molasses.

3Beat well. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

4Place in 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf dish.

5Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from dish and cool on rack. Cut in thin slices to serve.

6Makes 1 loaf.
