- 1 lb. pitted dates, chopped
- 1 qt. nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Dredge nuts and dates with small amount of flour.

2Set aside. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, beating well.

3Combine dry ingredients.

4Add to creamed mixture.

5Pour batter into nuts and dates mixture and stir to mix.

6(You may have to use your hands.) Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

7Let cool a few minutes before removing from pan.
