  • 3 sticks softened butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 3 c. nuts
  • 16 oz. chopped dates

Directions

    Dredge nuts

    and dates in 1/2 cup flour.

    Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour, salt and vanilla, then nuts and dates.

    Pour into 3 loaf pans. Cook 1 hour at 300°.

    May need to be cooked a little longer. Easily divided into thirds for one loaf.

    Freezes well.
