Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook white and brown sugars and milk together to soft ball stage, then add chopped dates.

    Cook to firm, but not hard, ball stage.

    Then remove from heat.

    Add nuts, butter and vanilla. Beat until stiff consistency to roll in wet cloth into log.

    Slice and store in sealed container.
