Ingredients
- 1 12 cups butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 12 teaspoon almond extract
- 4 cups plain flour, sifted twice
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 14 cups pecans, almonds or 1 14 cups walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Cream butter and sugars.

2Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract.

4Sift together dry ingredients.

5Add to butter mixture.

6Stir in pecans or desired nuts.

7Shape dough in log.

8Wrap with plastic wrap.

9Refrigerate for 4-8 hours.

10Slice into half inch slices or less.

11Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

12Bake 375 degrees for 7 minutes.

13Note: dough may be frozen for up to 3 months.

14Slice while frozen and bake.
