- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- pinch of oregano
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco
- 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 3 c. water
- 2 lb. cooked shrimp
Directions

1Saute flour until golden; add green pepper, celery and garlic; saute until tender.

2Add seasonings, tomato paste and water.

3Cook stirring until thick.

4Cover and cook 30 minutes.

5Add shrimp before serving, enough to heat.

6Serve over rice.
