- pastry for 1 crust pie
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 8 c. sliced apples
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, spices and salt.

2Add apples and lemon juice.

3Stir and combine.

4Place in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

5Dot with butter.

6Roll pastry 1-inch longer than top of pan.

7Cut vents.

8Trim and flute edge just inside of pan.

9Bake at 425° about 50 minutes until pie is brown and apples are tender.
