Deep Dish Cheddar Chicken

- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. sage
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of black pepper
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 4 c. chopped, cooked chicken
- 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
- 1 regular can green peas, drained
Directions

1Saute onion in 1/4 cup margarine. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add chicken, cheese and peas; mix well.

2Pour into dish and bake at 350° for about 30 minutes. Crust may also be added to top if you like.
