Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. slightly frozen deer meat, no fat, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. A.1. steak sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or substitute
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. liquid smoke

Directions

    Put strips of meat into sauce and mix well to coat.

    Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for 24 hours.

    After 24 hours, put directly onto oven racks on aluminum foil.

    Oven temperature should be 200°.

    Dry meat for 3 to 4 hours.

    May also use dehydrator method according to manufacturer's directions.

    This keeps for quite a while in sealed plastic bag.
