- 1 1/4 c. scalded milk
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 6 to 7 c. flour (can substitute whole wheat for part of flour)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 small pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. lukewarm water (use 2 c. container)
- 4 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Soften yeast in water.

2Add a sprinkle of sugar to help yeast act faster and stir.

3Put shortening, sugar and milk in a pan and warm.

4Watch that it doesn't scorch.

5Cool.

6Add yeast mixture and stir.

7Add eggs and mix.

8Add flour and salt.

9Mix gradually and let rise double.

10Work dough good.

11Make into rolls and let rise. Bake at 375° until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
