Devestating Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped relatively fine
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced fine
  • 6 cups tomato sauce (I prefer roasted garlic)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated or 14 cup romano cheese
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt
  • 18 teaspoon black pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce, 1 big splash

Directions

    Sweat the onions in oil till translucent, over medium, then add garlic and cook for a minute or so, but dont let it burn.

    Add all remaining ingredients.

    Let it simmer, covered, on low heat for 3-4 hours.

    For extra flavor, (and more substantial food) add either meatballs, saute ground beef or pork (or both!
