Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 12 marshmallows, quartered
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Boil 1/2 cup sugar in 1 1/2 cups water 5 minutes.

    Pour into casserole dish and add marshmallows.

    Cream butter and the other 1/2 cup sugar.

    Add vanilla.

    Stir in dry ingredients alternately with milk.

    Add nuts and blend.

    Drop from large spoon over marshmallows.

    Cover dish and bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until done.
