Deviled Corn Custard

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. scalded milk
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 2 (2 1/2 oz.) cans deviled ham
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • paprika

Directions

    Preheat oven to 300°.

    Beat egg yolks; mix in milk.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Add butter and allow to melt. Add corn, ham, mustard and seasonings.

    Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.

    Fold into corn mixture.

    Bake in 1 1/2-quart casserole one hour or until firm.
