Deviled Crab Meat Casserole

  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 lb. crab meat (lump or backfin)
  • 5 hard-boiled eggs
  • 3/4 to 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 c. melted butter

Directions

    Combine milk and soft bread crumbs.

    Gently stir in crab meat and finely sliced whites of hard-boiled eggs.

    Mash the egg yolks, along with salt, dry mustard, red pepper and melted butter.

    Pour into buttered baking dish.

    Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs. Bake in 425° oven for 30 minutes.
