Deviled Crabs

Ingredients

  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 c. chili sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 lb. saltine crackers
  • 4 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 large onion
  • dash of Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb. crab meat

Directions

    Dice celery, green pepper and onion.

    Add chili powder and cook in oil until done.

    Crumble crackers and add to mixture along with Worcestershire, Tabasco sauce, chili sauce and garlic salt. Mix thoroughly.

    Dice eggs.

    Add eggs and crab meat and mix gently.

    Fill cleaned crab shells with mixture and cook until brown.

    Also may be formed into balls and deep fried.
