Deviled Mushrooms

  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can deviled ham
  • 1 c. bread crumbs, divided
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, divided

    Rinse, pat

    and remove stems from mushrooms.

    Set caps aside.

    Chop

    enough stems to make 1/2 cup.

    Reserve for later use.

    In medium bowl combine cream cheese, deviled ham, 1/2

    cup bread crumbs, reserved chopped mushroom stems, onion powder

    and pepper.

    In small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of the

    butter. Brush outside of caps with butter. Mound stuffing mixture

    into each mushroom cap. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon
  14. 14
    of butter and stir in remaining bread crumbs.

    Sprinkle over stuffed mushrooms. Place in shallow baking dish and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
