- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. low sodium milk
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted shortening
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1Soften dry yeast in warm water.

2In saucepan warm milk; stir in sugar and shortening.

3Add yeast and mix well.

4Work in flour. Shape in a ball and place in a greased bowl.

5Cover; let rise in warm place for 1 1/2 hours.

6Punch down and let rise again, about greased 9 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pans.

7Cover and let rise about 1 hour.

8Bake at 375° for about 45 minutes.
