Ingredients

  • 200 grams oats
  • 200 grams wholemeal flour
  • 140 grams maple syrup
  • 200 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Directions

    Pre heat oven to 190/170 fan or Gas mark 5 & line 2 baking trays with baking parchment.

    Add the flour, oats and baking powder to a bowl and mix together.

    Add the butter to the bowl and mix together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

    Add the maple syrup and mix until dough like .

    Wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.

    Roll out the dough and cut to into desired circle size - makes up to 24 biscuits.

    Place the biscuits on the lined trays and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

    Remove biscuits from oven and add to cooling rack.
