Ingredients
- 2 c. cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. dill seed
- 2 Tbsp. minced green onion
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 5 c. unbleached flour
Directions

1Warm cottage cheese and butter slightly.

2Add dill seed, onion, sugar, baking soda, salt and eggs.

3Beat until blended.

4Combine water and yeast.

5Stir until dissolved.

6Stir into cottage cheese mixture.

7Stir in as much flour as possible, then knead in the rest.

8Continue kneading until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Place dough in greased bowl.

9Turn to grease top.

10Cover and let stand until double in bulk.

11Punch down.

12Shape into 2 loaves and place in 8 x 4-inch loaf pans.

13Cover and let rise until dough reaches top of pans.

14Bake in 375° oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until loaves are browned and sound hollow when tapped.

15Remove from pans.

16Cool on racks.
