- 1 c. cottage cheese (small curd)
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients and heat to lukewarm.

2Add yeast, soda, dill seed, minced onion, egg and flour.

3Combine ingredients and add flour, beating well.

4Turn out on floured board and knead. Place in oiled bowl, turning over so all sides are oiled.

5Cover with towel.

6Let rise (double) about 1 hour.

7Punch down.

8Knead and form loaf.

9Let rise until light, about 30 to 40 minutes.

10Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.

11Brush top with butter; sprinkle with salt.

12Cool 5 minutes in pan.

13Turn out on cooling rack.
