  • cucumbers
  • garlic buttons
  • dill weed heads and stems or dill seed
  • small hot peppers (optional)
  • 1 c. salt
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • grape leaves
  • 1 gal. water

    Sterilize jars.

    Wash cucumbers thoroughly; pack in quart jars, 20 each jar.

    Add 2 buttons of garlic, 1 dill weed head and stem and 1 or 2 small hot peppers.
