  • 2 heads dill (1/2 tsp. each)
  • 1 clove garlic (1/8 tsp. minced)
  • 1 hot pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. powdered alum
  • 1 grape leaf
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 3 qt. water
  • 1 c. salt

Directions

    Place a grape leaf in bottom of each quart jar.

    Fill with cucumbers.

    Add the spices in each jar.

    Boil the vinegar, water and salt.

    Pour over cucumbers and spices.

    Seal.
