- 1 lb. market beans
- 6 c. boiling water
- 3 1/2 tsp. pickling salt
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. liquid from beans
- dill and garlic clove
Directions

1Wash, string and drain beans; place in large kettle with boiling water and 1 1/2 teaspoons pickling salt.

2Boil 20 minutes. Drain.

3Save 1 cup liquid.

4Combine vinegar, bean liquid and 2 teaspoons pickling salt in kettle.

5Bring to a boil.

6Pack beans and a pinch of dill and garlic in hot jars; fill with hot vinegar mixture and seal.

7Makes 2 pints.
