Ingredients

  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons dried yeast
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups buckwheat flour
  • 1 12 cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons dill seeds

Directions

    Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in water and sprinkle yeast over, leave in a warm place until frothy.

    Blend together cheese, onion, butter, salt, eggs and the remaining sugar.

    Set aside.

    Mix flour with oats and pour in yeast liquid, stir in cheese mixture & dill seeds.

    Knead until smooth.

    Place dough in a warm, greased bowl and cover with a damp tea-towel.

    Leave dough in a warm place until doubled in size.

    Knock back dough & in a 1.5L casserole, cover & let rise to double again.

    Heat the oven to 180.C and bake loaf for 35 mins or until cooked.
