  • 1 pkg. Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water (110~-115~)
  • 1 c. cottage cheese, lukewarm
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 1/4 c. flour

    Soften yeast in water; set aside.

    In mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, & egg. Mix until blended.

    Stir in yeast.

    Gradually add flour to form stiff dough.

    Cover & let rise in warm place for 1 hour.

    Stir down dough.

    Turn into well greased 8-inch round casserole about 1 1/2 qt. size.

    Let rise 40 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes. Brush with butter.

    Cut into wedges to serve.
