Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

    In warm mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.

    In small saucepan heat cottage cheese to lukewarm.

    Add to dissolved yeast. Add egg, sugar, onion, butter and dill seed.

    Mix well.

    Sift together flour, soda and salt and add to other ingredients; stir until blended.

    Dough will be quite soft.

    Let dough rise for 1 hour.
