  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
  • 1 Tbsp. dry minced onion
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 unbeaten egg

    Soften yeast in water.

    Combine rest of ingredients in bowl. Add flour to form stiff dough.

    Cover; let rise (85° to 90°) until double, 50 to 60 minutes.

    Stir down.

    Turn into greased 8-inch round casserole (1 1/2 to 2-quart).

    Let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.

    Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
