Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Soften yeast in warm water.

3Combine in mixing bowl with warm cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda and egg.

4Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.

5Cover and let rise until doubled in size (50 to 60 minutes).

6Stir dough down.

7Place in well-greased 8-inch round casserole (1 1/2 to 2 quarts) and let rise in warm place 30 to 40 minutes.

8Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown.

9Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.

10Makes one loaf.
